Prt. Edward "Billy" Jenkins

Prt. Edward “Billy” Jenkins, formerly of the Royal Berkshire Regiment, served with No.6 Troop of No. 6 Commando from, at least, October 1942.

Prt. Edward Jenkins was Killed In Action (KIA) by gunfire shot to the chest on 30th November 1942 during the first Commando assault on Green Hill, aged 21 years.

He was the son of Arthur Henry and Elizabeth Mary Jenkins, of Leagrave, Luton , Bedfordshire. Edward was laid to rest in memorium on the Medjez-El-Bab Memorial ( Tunisia ) Face 25.
